I feel it’s been ages since I did dotticure flowers. This one is a simple accent nail design.
I started by painting all nails except the ring finger nails in a 2 coats of a bright hot pink colour. On the remaining nail I used 2 coats of a light pink with silver flecks in it.
Over the top of the bright pink nails I used 1 coat of a shimmery gold pearl effect polish to give the pink some extra depth.
On the light pink ring finger nails, I used a thin brush and a green polish to paint a single leaf onto them.
Then using a large dotting tool, I placed 5 dots in the bright pink in a flower shape. For the centre of the flowers I used a glittery gold polish.
This design is a simple one with a couple of the nails in a half moon design with a floral dotticure.
I started by painting the index, middle and little fingers in 2 coats of a coral orange shade.
I the other nails I used a curved brush in the same orange shade to paint the half moon designs.
On top of the orange I then used a translucent gold pearly shimmery shade. I am obsessed with this polish. It’s from Born Pretty from their Pearl Lustre polishes.
I then finished off the design by using a dotting tool in black to put a flower in the middle of the half moons and adding a few dots to the line on either side. For the centre of the flowers I used a single rhinestone.
This design is a simple gold dotticure accent nail with a magnetic gold polish used for the remaining nails.
I started by painting the ring fingers in a 2 coats of a brown shade.
On the remaining nails I used 2 coats of a magnetic gold polish. On the second coat I used a magnet with a diagonal stripe pattern to make the design.
To finish off the ring fingers, I used a gold polish and a small dotting tool to add a pattern of dots. I tried to place the dots in curved lines to make a pattern. I then top coated everything.
Unfortunately the top coat dissolved the effect of the magnetic polish a bit. It looked so much better beforehand. I wish I had remembered to take my photos before adding the top coat.
This was a nice simple quite plain design that you could wear for any occasion.
I started by painting all nails in ‘Marshmallow’ from Barry M’s ‘Frosted Cupcakes’ collection. I had to use 3 coats to get the coverage I wanted. This is an off white shade with tiny flecks of silver flakes. They don’t show up too well but it does add more texture to the look of things.
I then added my dots in a bronze shade. I started by placing a larger dot in the centre of the base of each nail.
Then on either side of this dot, I added two more dots (making 4 in total) in a slightly smaller sized dotting tool. On the thumbs I added 3 dots on either side.
I then finished off the design by adding 2 more dots in the same colour on either side, underneath the previous ones in an even more slightly smaller sized dotting tool.
I’m really pleased with how this design turned out and the best part is it was quite quick to do. The colours and the shimmer against the dark background works well.
I started by painting all nails in 2 coats of my background colour. I went for a dark purple.
Next I took a large dotting tool and a purple metallic shade. I placed one dot per nail where I wanted the centre of my circle to be.
Then I took a smaller sized dotting tool and blue shimmery metallic shade. I placed a circle of the smaller dots around the larger dot.
I then repeated this 2 more times with a pink and then a gold metallic shimmery shade, to make a total of 3 rings of dots around the central dot.
