This experiment started off as a smoothie, but then I wondered what would it be like if I froze it and used it as a dessert.
I blended together a can of coconut milk, 3 mangoes and the juice of 2 limes. I then poured it into a ice cream tub and then put it in the freezer to freeze. It took almost a day to freeze for me. My husband says this is because of the lime juice. When you are ready to eat it, leave it out of the freezer for a bit and then hack off chunks with a spoon to get yummy fruity icy flakes. I think this would make a good recipe for home made ice lollies as it has a similar texture when frozen.
This is another one of my favourites and all it contains is 1 large mango, a bit of mango juice and a little bit of cinnamon all blended together. I then blended in 6 or 7 ice cubes to make it a little more refreshing.
I would have to say my favourite kinds of smoothies are those that have mango in them. The only problem I have with mangoes is getting as much of the fruit as you can away from the seed part in the middle quickly and easily. For this one I took one mango and one banana. I blended it together with some mango juice.
I think this is probably one of my favourite smoothie combinations. I like to only add a little juice to this one so that it stays nice and thick in consistency. I used one whole mango, one papaya and a little mango juice. I then blended everything together.
For this one I used one whole mango, 2 passion fruits and then blended it all with some cherry juice. I love how the colour turned out in this one thanks to the cherry juice.
For this one I took the insides of one dragon fruit and 2 chopped up kiwi fruits. I then added some orange and mango juice and blended the whole thing together.
For this smoothie I took 10 strawberries and 2 kiwi fruits. I chopped them up and added them to a jug before adding some orange and mango juice. I then blended everything together.
For this smoothie I took half a Galia melon and one mango. I then blended it together with pineapple juice.
Over the past month or so I’ve been into making my own fruit smoothies. I think the summer had inspired me. I’ve been Instagraming my concoctions and it really brings out the beauty in the colours of the fruit. I figured why not share them here to give others ideas to try.
For this smoothie I took all the seeds from one pomegranate and the contents of one passion fruit and added them to a jug. I then added some mango juice and blended everything together. The amount of juice you use can help to control how much smoothie you make and how thick or watery you want it to be.
So I just couldn’t resist myself. I have a bit of leftover cash before pay day so why not lol. I also bought the same as shown in this post for my friend as part of her birthday present.
This time I opted for the sets of shower gels and body butters. Each set comes with four different flavours in the smaller sizes.
The flavours included in each are the mango, shea butter, raspberry and the coconut. The shower gels are 100ml each and the body butters are 75ml.
Both sets currently cost £5 each. I think the packaging design is quite simple, yet it is cute and looks good quality at the same time.
I also think the pots used to hold the body butters are of good quality as well. As I expected these all smell and feel great. I used the shea butter body butter on my legs after shaving them earlier today and they feel so soft and smooth.
I have never seen shea butter on its own before. I’ve only ever seen it as part of some other flavour, and so have never realised how great it smells. It’s a nice subtle sweet scent that does not smell sickly sweet at all.
Has anyone else tried any of their new products? I’m eager to know what flavour is everyone’s favourite.
