This simple design has a stripe of a duochrome nail polish down the middle of each nail, which has been given a matte effect.
I started by painting all nails in 2 coats of a dark red shade.
I then took a small flat brush and used this with a duochrome polish. This polish is a sort of dark pink shimmer which looks quite subtle against the base colour, which shifts to green and bronze tones which stand out a lot more from the base colour.
I painted 2 coats of a single stripe of the duochrome polish down the middle of each nail from base to tip.
I then completed the design by using a matte top coat over the top of everything.
